Streak in Wrong Direction

After winning four in a row it looked as if The Eagles had turned their season around but the train came off the track. The Eagles have now dropped their fifth game in a row and have two games left to change it. Laney came out firing on all cylinders. They took the opening kickoff, raced down the field, and 20 seconds into the game had a 1 to nothing lead. We settled down and prevented them from scoring any more in the first half but in the second half a couple of mistakes (mental and physical) led to two more Laney goals for the final score Bucs 3 Eagles 0.
The Eagles are now 5-11-1 overall with a 3-7 conference record.
The JV team also dropped their game last night by a score of 3-2 bringing their recored to 7-7.
The teams will travel to Topsail today and need to be excused at 3:00.
