Tourney MVP Dakota Perryman played the role of the great white shark to perfection as he homered, had multiple hits, caught, pitched., made outstanding defensive plays and even legged out a bunt hit to lead the sharks to decisive victories.
North Wake, with the Heritage high baseball players, proved to be a tough final opponent after recording come from behind wins over New Bern in round two and Apex in the semifinals.
Weather conditions in Sanford were ideal after a rainy regular season and Charlie Spivey and his staff at Lee Senior were excellent hosts for the tournament's last three rounds.
