William's Sisters Excel for Screaming Eagles

A pair of Ashley High School sisters are marking their marks on both the athletic fields and classrooms. Bailey Williams, a senior at Ashley whose main sport is softball, and her younger sister Lindsey, a sophomore, are setting a “sister act” example that may be hard to match.

Bailey, born on May 13, 1996, is the older sister and soon will turn 18. This is the final year at Ashley for the Lady Screaming Eagles’ catcher before she heads to Virginia to continue her academic and athletic careers at Emory & Henry College.

Bailey started her athletic career on the soccer pitch and added softball a short time later.

“I got involved in sports because both my parents (Peggy and Greg Williams) were athletes in high school and I originally started with soccer when I was five years old,” Bailey said. “I played soccer until the fifth grade but I really liked baseball so I decided to give softball a try.
