Lady Eagles Finish 3rd in MEAC track Meet

It was a day of close finishes personal bests and all out great effort from the Girls Track Team.  In a close meet the Screaming Eagles placed 3rd overall with 144 points.  Laney was 2nd with 149 and New Hanover won the title with a 158.5.  First Place finishes are All Conference and the top 8 score.

 
In the 100m Dash Jamie Stacey won with a time of 12.27.  Destiny Godfrey was 2nd with a personal best of 12.42.  In the 200m Dash Jamie Stacey placed 1st with a time of 26.04 and Destiny Godfrey was 2nd with another personal best 26.12.  In the 400m dash Destiny Godfrey was 2nd with a personal best 1:00.07 and a new school record.  Alyssa Yaw finished in 6th with a time of 1:05.8 and Raven Davis was 7th with a 1:06.14.
 
In the 800m dash Julia Boudreau ran a season best of 2:29 to place 4th.  In the Mile Julia Broke the school record and placed 3rd with a time of 5:28.  Sara Silika ran a personal best with a time of 5:42 and placed 7th.  In the 3200m Sara Silika placed 3rd with a time of 12:16.
 
In the 100m Hurdles Rachel Luscher finished 2nd with a new school record of 17.74.  In the 300m hurdles Sandra Peters placed 2nd with a personal best 52.7 and Rachel Luscher ran a personal best 53.05 to finish 4th .
 
In the 4 X 100m relay the team of Charlotte Pearsall, Erin Hager, Carley Higgins, and Heather Keck Finished 5th at 55.73.  In the 4 X 200m the team of Raven Davis, Charlotte Pearsall, Alyssa Yaw, and Jamie Stacey finished 3rd with a school record 1:49.6.  In the 4 X400m relay the Team of Jamie Stacey, Destiny Godfrey, Alyssa Yaw, and Raven Davis broke the school record with a 4:11 and placed 1st.  In the 4 X 800 the team of Morgan Marriccini, Lindsey Williams, Julia Boudreau, and Sara Silika finished 2nd with a 10:40.
 
Heather Keck repeated as the conference champ in the Pole Vault matching her personal best of 9'6.  Raven Davis was 2nd overall in the long Jump.  In the Shot Put Morgan Targhetta placed 2nd with a throw of 2'1" and Sara Sherrill was 8th with a 22'11".
