Eagles Post Two Goals in the First 3 Minutes and Defeat East Duplin in Soccer

Josn Barnello came out of the starting blocks with a bang scoring his first goal thirty seconds into the match and having his second goal less than three minutes into the match. We allowed East Duplin a goal and then Drew Walters answered with a goal off a Ryan Powers assist. The final Ashley goal cam in the 25th minute when Duenis Aviola assisted Juan Bernardez. East Duplin was awarded a penalty kick which they finished making the score Ashley 4 East Duplin 2. The second half was very chippy and neither team had any good looks at goal so the first half score was the final: Ashley 4 East Duplin 2 so our tie earlier in the season was avenged. The varsity is now 4-4-2 and 2-1 in conference.
