Miserable Weather - Good Results in Men's Soccer

Rain, rain, and more rain but no lightning so the Eagles were able to get their game in. Juan Bernardez got us started just one and a half minutes into the game. Drew Walters pushed a through ball to Juan who outran the entire South Brunswick defense to bury the ball in the back of the net. Drew "Mr. Hat Trick" Walters scored his first of three goals at the seven and a half minute mark to give us a 2 goal lead. A defensive error was made and the Cougars were able to get one back. Durwin Hamilton finished off the opening half scoring with an assist from Espin Gilbert. Drew added his other two goals within seven minutes of the start of the second half. Final score Ashley 5 South Brunswick 1. The Eagles are now 5-5-2 overall and 2nd place in the conference with a 3-1 record.

The JV team had a stellar performance again and won 6 to 0. Their overall record is 8-2 and 3-1 in the conference. Next game tomorrow at Topsail.
