Men Literally Run the Streak to Six

Last Thursday the Boys and Girls Track Team competed in the Mid Eastern Conference Championship.  The girls team had their 2nd best finish in School history with a 3rd place and 142 points.  The Boys Team Finished 1st for the 6th straight season with 192 points.  All first place finishes are considered All Conference.

 
In the relays the Boys 4 x 100m placed first with a time of 44.06.  That Team was Isaiah Fields, Caleb Parker, Tyree Gaithright, and Damien Batts.  
The Boys 4 X 200m Relay finished 1st with a time of 1:30.44.  This was the Team of Damien Batts, Jacob Lloyd, Isaiah Fields, and Caleb Parker.
 
The Girls 4 X 400m relay finished 1st with a time of 4:19.6.  This team was Julia Boudreau, Alissa Yaw, Destiny Godfrey, and Heather Keck.
 
In The girls 100m Dash Jamie Stacey placed 1st with a time of 12. 2.  In the boys 100m dash Damien Batts placed 2nd in a tight race with a time of 11.04.
 
In the 200m dash Jamie Stacey was 1st with a time of 25. 3 and Destiny Godfrey was 2nd with a 26.12.  In the Boys 200 Damien Batts took 2nd with another tight race and a time of 23.08.
 
Destiny Godfrey was 2nd in the 400m dash with a time of 1:00.92.
 
In the Boys High jump Tyree Gaithright was 2nd with a mark of 6-2.
 
In the Pole Vault Heather keck was 1st with a jump of 9-6 and Daniel Suggs was 1st with a jump of 12-00.
 
In the Long Jump Jaime Stacey was 1st with a mark of 18-5.
 
Jamie Stacey also broke the school record in the triple with a jump of 38-3.5.  Olajiday Olatidoye placed 1st in the triple with a personal best of 43-7.
 
Russell Corbett won the Shot with a mark of 53-5 and the Discus with a mark of 153-5.
 
There were so many great performances that you simply had to be there to appreciate the effort and enthusiasm.  Please congratulate the member of the team.
