Julia Boudreau Finishes 7th in Eastern Regional


Eagles advance to the State Championship’s for the 3rd Straight Year
Girls took 7th Place at the NCHSAA East Regional Championships

The Ladies team who tied there best ever finish of 7th Place saw Julia Boudreau go for the 2nd straight year after placing 14th Place and making the 2nd Team All Region.

In the Girls Race the Ladies were lead by Julia Boudreau who finished in 14th Place with a Personal Best Time of 19:51. Julia was the 4th individual not on a qualifying team and will also be going to the State Championships in Kernersville, NC this Saturday. Julia was pursued closely by teammate Sara Silka who was just a couple places behind in 22nd Place with a Personal best time of 20:05, but just missed qualifying by 2 spots. As a team the Ladies finished in 7th Place with a school record of 196 points and a average times 1:30 faster than this meet last year at 21:03. 1st place was Pinecrest 53, Laney 84, Hoggard 91, Jack Britt 127. The other County school New Hanover was 6th with 131. The rest of the Ladies in the Races Places and times were: 51st Lindsey Williams 21:37, 54th Erin Hager 21:49 PR, 55th Kaela Groseclose 21:56, and 65th Morgan Marriccini 22:29.

The Boy’s and Julia will be heading up to Kernersville, NC Saturday Morning and currently the Boys are ranked 13th in the State.
